We specialize in new comic books. So when we say our slogan is: “We Have Issues!”, then it will be no surprise when you walk into our stores that you will see the largest selection of new comics and trade paperbacks in the Middle Tennessee area.

Every Wednesday we get a new shipment of your favorite titles from publishers like Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse, Boom!, IDW, Dynamite and more.

We also keep several long boxes of back stock. Typically most of our back stock is from the last 10-ish years. However, books from the Silver and even Golden Age do come in, but they don't tend to stay very long in store once we get them.

We also carry a nice selection of Funko Pops!, action figures, statues, bags, boards and other supplies! If you love comics, you have to come see us!

(We do not typically carry gaming items, like card, table top or RPG games. We leave those to our friends at Game Cave, also located in the Donelson Plaza next to the Bowling Alley)

Rick’s Comic City first opened in Nashville in 2000 in a small 250 square foot store. In 2008, we moved to a larger, 2200 square foot store in the Donelson Plaza. In 2015 we expanded to a second store in Clarksville, TN. Starting with Free Comic Book Day 2018, our Nashville store moved to its current location. We're still in the Donelson Plaza, but have moved to make room for the new Donelson Library, and we can now be found next Homegrown Tap Room.
